Check sustained throughput, not just peak speed-test results
4K video needs a steady stream of data for upcoming segments. A speed test may be fast at one moment while playback stutters because of local Wi-Fi, route congestion, the path to a content delivery server or other apps using bandwidth. Adaptive bitrate streaming may also lower resolution before buffering becomes obvious. Check the platform’s current help documentation for bandwidth requirements; this page has no test data and does not assign fixed speed ratings to routes.
Dolby Vision depends on the entire playback chain
Dolby Vision depends on the title, membership access, app version, device support and display chain. A Dolby Vision badge on a title page doesn’t mean your current browser will output that format. Confirm the title has a Dolby Vision version, then check the official compatibility information for your playback and display devices. If you use an external display, make sure every device in the connection supports it.
Separate picture-quality issues from region issues
If a title starts but the resolution won’t improve, first check picture settings, data-saving options, membership access and device limits. If you see a regional restriction or proxy detection message, focus on the exit location and traffic routing. Switching routes repeatedly for both types of issue can make troubleshooting harder.
When comparing routes, use the same device and title under similar local network conditions. Pause background syncing and large downloads, then check whether playback improves. Low latency can help interactive use, but it does not prove a route can sustain HD video.
